Once the Virtual type is selected, the actual code of Attended Online does not show on the students record. We need teachers and parents to be able to see that the student attended online. As a workaround, we have left the Attended Online as an Excused Absence, but that means the Absence List is very long and inaccurate.

Agreed. I also need a way to mark present/in school suspension.

With the 9/1/2020 release, a new attendance type has been added to the system. Attendance codes can now be assigned as Absence, Tardy, or Virtual.
Codes assigned the Virtual type will not be considered in any absence or tardy counts throughout the system.
I will be leaving this idea open, however, as this virtual type is not completely filling the request to be able to add more 'Present' type codes.

Adding my vote as well. We are opening with a "hybrid model" and having the option to the Present category would be really helpful.

We need to know who's present in the classroom and who's present at home remoting in.

In the coronavirus/virtual learning age, we desperately need this option. Please consider this feature quickly.

Oak Knoll School would also like that option. We need to distinguish between students who are present in school versus present in a class by providing other options for Attended.

How are schools categorizing tardies with this system?  We would like to be alerted when a student reaches his/her fourth tardy, and we have this attendance notification on.  However, we would like to be able to print out a report on a given student that clearly notes the tardies-unexcused for the student in question.  Currently, we must print out the "Attendance History- By Student" and highlight take note of the number of unexcused absences versus unexcused tardies.  Is there a way around this?  Eventually, we would also like to have the option for the system to deem x amount of tardies as 1 unexcused absence.

We have Retreats, Field Trips, and Honor Roll Holidays that should NOT be counted as an absence, but we need a way to let trachers see the excused absence when they take attendance.  This is a big deal for our school!

We would also like to see this feature.  For example a particular class includes 9th and 10th graders, but the 9th graders are in an assembly.  They are in school, but not in class.  Attendance needs to show that the student is attending school for the attendance of record, but mark them not in class for the teacher.  Same would apply for a field trip, college recruiter visit, college fair or any other number of reasons.

St. Edmund's Academy would also like that option as well.  We have some attendance reasons that we'd like to add that don't fall under Absent/tardy, so we'd like to be able to add custom attendance types that fit the reasons better (ex: Present-Going to After School Program)

Proctor Academy would like that option as well.  We would like to be able to (keep history) make note of a student out of dress code who is in attendance.
