We would like to have cumulative simple GPA and weighted GPA appear in the students academic profile.
Our guidance counseling department would like to have the cumulative GPA listed instead of the yearly. Additionally, they would like to have a report with both the cumulative simple GPA and the cumulative weighted GPA on a single report.
We should have and need the ability to adjust Grade Average Default Settings because currently we are not able too and it displays inaccurate GPA's, which could cause problems if other Faculty who use this information view it. If we select Cumulative it should then adjust/set as such for the display and not revert back to Yearly Setting.
Hello everyone! We are looking to do some discovery on how we are displaying GPAs in our new version of the student profile coming later this year. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to me at jacqueline.koca@blackbaud.com and we can get some time set up. Thank you! Jacqueline
We run cumulative, weighted and unweighted GPA's at both semester and year-end as part of the college process. We have the option to configure these GPA's, therefore it makes no sense to have to run a report or switch the view on a listed GPA each time we need to access it for a student. It is something that should be easily accessible.
The GPA on the Academic profile is also not sensitive to how each GPA is even configured! Why give us the option to designate a given GPA calculation as "Cumulative" (and cumulative only!) in the "Type" area of Academics-->Grading Setup-->Calculations if what should be a Cumulative GPA displays as a Year-to-Date GPA on the right rail of the Academic Profile? Make it sensitive to the actual configuration of the GPAs in question, and as other folks have said, let people pick which "Type"(s) (Term, Year to date, or Cumulative) they want that right rail to display by default, and perhaps per GPA shown!
We should be able to look at the profile of a student and have weighted and simple cumulative gpa's readily available. I should not have to run a report each time I need to see a gpa. That information should be available for each student in their progress page or academic profile page.

This would be very helpful when adding student information to our counseling program. Both weighted and simple GPAs are needed.
