Schools need to attractive, branded communications. We give them this with Official Notes, however, the experience and functionality is different between EMS and SIS. EMS Official Notes include note types and templates. The template builder includes the Tiny MCE editor which allows use of HTML to incorporate graphics in the template. SIS Official Notes do not include templates; they include only a very basic email notification editor, which does not offer any HTML editing and therefore no ability to include graphics. SIS Official Notes have the Tiny MCE editor at the "Compose Official Note" level, but this means a school would need to add branding (e.g., logo images) EACH time they compose an Official Note rather than at the template level as they can in EMS. Hoping Blackbaud can bring feature parity to SIS Official Notes to improve the look, feel and workflows for SIS Official Notes.
Templates in SIS matching EMS would be a tremendous help to our team!
Templates would be huge -- in order to increase adoption by our faculty, giving them examples in the notes themselves would be a huge advantage and essentially an "instruction" sheet.
