Allow Years to be individually published on "new" transcript builder

The old transcript builder allowed you to publish each year individually within that year. But it sounds (according to support ticket 018434773) like the "new" transcript builder requires those individual columns be re-published in the current year, even though they were already individually published in the past? So if S1 was published in 20-21, those courses won't display until S1 is published in 21-22.

What this means is that in order to allow students to see prior years, we have to open up the current year right off the bat, then remember to go and un-publish when it's time for Teachers to record the grades we want on the Transcript, only to re-publish when we're ready, so that we don't publish grades before they're reviewed? This seems like a MAJOR step backwards in terms of functionality from one transcript builder to the next. I understand there is a TON of great new functionality that wasn't there in the old builder, but I had hoped we wouldn't lose key functionality from one iteration to another.

Has any progress been made on this?
Right now I need to turn off access to Semester 1 grades, but then students who need to access their transcript for college applications will not see ANY of their Semester 1 grades!

This is a big problem, and a step backward in the Transcript Builder! It doesn't make any sense for last year's grades to be unpublished if this year's grades are not published yet.

You can get around this for now, by selecting last year's grade level at the top of the page and then clicking on Transcript, but that won't work once the Fall grades are posted!
